Worship Service

Bible Study

Bible Study will be conducted on Wednesday November 9, 2022, in church at 7:00 PM. Mr. Thomas Kovoor will lead the study. Humbly request everyone's prayerful participation. 

Prayer Meeting- Online

A combined prayer meeting will be held on Sunday November 6, 2022, via WebEx, at 5:30 pm. 

World Sunday School Day

As part of World Sunday School day, the kids for kids project is the diocese's mission in helping needy children. Please encourage each child to contribute an offertory of $1 per child for the kids helping kids project. In past, the amount collected through this offertory was used for Christmas gifts for children in Mexico. A special offertory envelope is available, please contact Mr. Chacko Varghese (Viju) if you need envelopes. 

Parish organizations & Prayer Groups

Organizations & prayer groups elections for the year 2023 office bearers must be elected before December 31, 2022. The elected list must be submitted to the Vicar or parish secretary. 

Carol Rounding

Christmas Carol Rounding is scheduled for the following dates: Nov. 27th, Dec 3rd, Dec 4th, Dec 10th, and Dec 11th (reserve day). The carol rounding group is planning to visit all parish families. Families who wish the carol rounding group not to visit their homes are requested to inform conveners Mr. Solomon Abraham or Mr. Nirmal Mathews as soon as possible so that proper arrangements can be made. Those interested in hosting as the first or last house for carol rounding, please contact the conveners. 

Transforming Lives Through Cheerful Giving

An opportunity is being arranged for all members of the parish to actively support the newly envisioned initiatives of the Diocese through a donation coupon campaign focused on “Transforming Lives Through Cheerful Giving.” The donation coupons will be available for $100 each, allowing all members to participate in this effort.

The registered Regional Activity Committees (RAC’s) who actively participate in this fundraising effort will be provided an incentive to receive 20% of the proceeds collected through the respective RAC to support regional mission activities. For those regions without a functioning RAC, the concerned parishes will receive this incentive to support their neighborhood mission.

Encouraging your cooperation as our assembly member Mrs. Siby Binu approaches you for support on this Diocesan initiative. 

Trustees Request- Pending dues

Trustees are requesting members who have pending dues from the auction held during the church picnic, first fruit auction, and food purchase from the cultural fest- CHEVRA to submit dues as soon as possible so that accounts from the respective events can be closed. Humbly request your generous Tithe offering to be submitted as well. We appreciate your cooperation. 

Fellowship time

Fellowship Hall will not be available Next Sunday, November 13, 2022, after the worship service, due to a special gathering held in the hall from Evanswood church.  Requesting everyone to exit the building after the service.

Thank you refreshment committee for organizing today's refreshments.  

Birthday & Wedding Anniversary

St. John's Mar Thoma Church would like to wish all celebrating their birthday and wedding anniversary this coming week. May God Bless you.

  • Let's pray for our dear Elsy Kochamma, as she recovers from her illness. 
  • Let's pray for the Global issue we are currently facing with the outbreak of Coronavirus and for all doctors, nurses, all health workers, essential employees, and all small business workers who are helping provide medications and food for all of us. Let's pray for all those infected, including the President
  • Let's pray for all those who are struggling with unemployment. 
  • Let's pray for our community, so we may live with peace and love.
