General Body Notice

The General body meeting of St Johns Mar Thoma Church Michigan, which was decided by the Parish General Body to be continued today due to lack of time last week,  will continue today, immediately after the Holy Qurbana service in Evanswood church fellowship hall.

Acknowledgement

Thank you Rev Jeswin John achen for celebrating today’s communion service and for the inspiring message. Thank you, lay leaders, choir, and media committee for assisting with today’s service. The Holy Communion Service in Malayalam will be celebrated next Sunday at 8:30am at Evanswood church by Rev. Jeswin John achen. 

Sunday school classes will be held online today due to the General Body meeting. 

Malayalam Choir will have carol practice on Wednesday 6:30pm at Evanswood church. 

English Choir will have carol practice on Saturday 11am  at Evanswood church. 

Edavaka Mission General Body meeting is cancelled for today due to the General Body meeting. 

Sunday School

The Sunday School Christmas carol program practice will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 6:30 PM at Evanswood Church. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Simi Varghese, the program convener. 

Carol Rounding

Carol Rounding will continue today in Troy/Rochester Hills/Shelby Township (West)/Oakland Township/Clarkson area. Carol rounding will be in Sterling Heights/Warren area on December 7th, in Windsor on December 8th and in Novi/Livonia/Westland/Ann Arbor/Grand Rapids area on December 14th. December 15th is the reserve day. If you are unable to host the carol rounders these days, please contact the convenors, Mr Roy Mathews or I. If any of our families and friends are able to host the carol rounders, please let us know so that the homes can be scheduled.

Bible Study

A Bible Study will be organized on Thursday December 5th, 7pm via Webex. Jeswin John achen will lead the study. 

Fasting Prayer

The monthly fasting prayer will be organized on Friday December 6th, 10am via Webex. 

DMTC Invitation 

His.Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan will be celebration the Holy Communion service in Engine at the Detroit Mar Thoma Church on Sunday December 8th, 9L30am. A felicitation meeting honoring the 35th year anniversary of Metropolitan’s Episcopal consecration is planned after the worship service. All St John’s Mar Thoma Church parish members are invited for the service and the felicitation meeting. 

Financial Update 

We thank all our parish members for their continuous and generous contribution to support all activities of the parish, diocese, and sabha. Also a friendly reminder from the trustees as the end of the year is approaching, trustees are requesting the cooperation of all our members to submit their contributions for 2024 by 31st December. Contributions for 2024 will not be accepted in the new year.
