Acknowledgement

Worship Service

Holy Communion Service in Malayalam will be held next Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Sunday school will start at 10:30am. 

Sunday School

Chicago Mar Thoma Church Sunday School invites our Sunday school children to Junior Camp 2024. The camp will be held July 19th to 21st and is open to students who have completed 3rd to 10th grade. The main speaker will be Dr. Sherin Thomas Kochamma. Registration fee is $40/child. Registration deadline is June 30, 2024. Please keep the camp in your prayers and encourage the students to attend.

Sunday School Diocesan Exam will be held on Sunday May 12, 2024, at 12pm. Please uphold our children in your prayers. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Siby Binu.

Vacation Bible School will be held from June 19- 22, 2024. Further details will be provided soon. If anyone is interested in volunteering please contact Mrs. Smitha John. A signup sheet will be available in the fellowship hall. Please uphold VBS in your prayers.

Sevika Sanghom

A Prayer meeting hosted by the Diocesan Sevika Sanghom will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, @ 8.30 PM (ET) via Zoom. Mrs. Preena Mathew (Kochamma) will deliver the main message based on the theme "Motherhood: A divine role ". Zoom details will  be shared with the sevika sanghom members. All Sevika Sanghom members are requested to participate. 

Youth Group

A Youth Group Meeting will be organized at the Church Friday May 10th at 7pm. Requesting prayerful participation of all youth group members.  

Bible Study

A bible study will be organized at the Church Thursday May 9th at 7pm. Mr. Thomas Kovoor will lead the study. Requesting your prayerful participation.  

Refreshment

Thank you Mr. P J Abraham and family and Mr. Bibin Panicker and family for sponsoring today’s refreshments. Thank you refreshment committee, for organizing the refreshments. 

Resident Vicar

As you are aware, Rev Jeswin John achen has started his tenure as our first resident vicar of St Johns Mar Thoma Church as we continue our growth as a parish. We have leased the apartment at Preserves as Parsonage and completed the purchase of Toyota Rav4 for our achen’s use. The resident vicar appointment is a major step for our church and will be a blessing for the spiritual needs of our members. I thank all our members who recognize this as a need for our parish and continue to support financially to meet the budgetary needs of the church to meet the expenses of the resident vicar. Achen has moved to the Parsonage and I thank our members who helped with different aspects of the move in the past week. Please contact our trustees if you are still interested in supporting the purchase of the items for parsonage.
