Election Notice

• The Final Voters List of the parish and the Election Nomination Form was published and distributed to all parish members on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 by email.
• Only those members whose names appear in the Final Voters List will be eligible to become candidates, propose and second names, and to cast their votes. 
• Candidates for election to various Executive Committee posts and as Auditors should submit their nomination form in the prescribed format to the Vicar by e-mail (cpdachen@gmail.com) before 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

The following posts will be elected:

            Vice-President (1); Secretary (1); Treasurer (1); Accountant (1);

                                            Lay Leaders (2); Auditors (2)

Holy Communion and Felicitation Meeting

Our Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos, will be celebrating his 70th birthday on December 5, 2020. Thirumeni will celebrate Holy Communion in Malayalam at the Long Island Mar Thoma Church, New York, on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 8:30 AM EST. A virtual Felicitation Meeting is arranged from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM EST to felicitate the Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan and our Diocesan Bishop.

The Holy Communion Service and Felicitation Meeting will be live telecasted through the ‘Mar Thoma Media’ https://www.youtube.com/c/MarThomaMedia – official YouTube channel of the Diocese of North America and Europe of the Mar Thoma Church. Please participate in the service and virtual meeting.

Diocesan Convention

The Diocesan Convention will take place on December 12 & 13, 2020 at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center, Atlanta. On Saturday, December 12, the Convention will begin at 7:00 PM EST, and the main speaker will be Rev. Dr. Cleophus J. LaRue, Jr. (Professor of Practical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey). On Sunday, December 13, Holy Communion service will be celebrated by our Diocesan Bishop at 9:00 AM EST. The concluding session of the Convention will begin at 10:30 AM EST, and the main speaker will be Rev. K. Y. Jacob (Vicar of Jerusalem MTC, Kottayam).

The Convention and Holy Communion service will be live telecasted through Mar Thoma Media https://www.youtube.com/c/MarThomaMedia – official YouTube channel of the Diocese of North America and Europe of the Mar Thoma Church.

24th Diocesan Leadership Conference

The Diocesan Youth Fellowship Council cordially invites youths (ages 21-35), who are actively involved in their home parish and community, to register and attend the conference. Please note that a registration fee will not be collected for this conference. The registration process will include two steps: 1) an application form and 2) an official registration form. Only those who meet the prescribed requirements of the application process will be offered the opportunity to officially register. In addition to this, all delegates must receive the approval and recommendation of their respective parish Vicar to attend.

The following Tracks will be offered during this conference along with other engaging workshops and sessions:
• Culture and Christianity – Promoting Christian Values in a Post-Modern World
• Human Sexuality – A Biblical Understanding of Human Sexuality and Relationships
• Neighborhood Ministry – Engaging with the Neighborhood and World
• Hermeneutics & Homiletics – Interpretation and Preaching of Scripture

34th Midwest Regional Conference

Organization Elections

As we are coming to the end of this year, it is time to elect office bearers and committee members of the organizations for the year 2021. In-person elections cannot be conducted due to COVID-19, it is recommended to take advantage of communication platforms such as Zoom, Google, Webex, etc to hold organization elections. If you would like to use church Webex, please contact Secretary with the day and time of the meeting.
