Acknowledgement

Thank you Rev Jeswin John achen for celebrating today’s communion service and for the inspiring message. Thank you, lay leaders, choir, and media committee for assisting with today’s service. 

Worship Service

Holy Communion Service in English will be held next Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The Sunday School will start at 10:30am. This will be the last class for this school year.  

Choir

A Choir voice test will be held today Sunday June 9th after the service. Please contact Mrs Soumya Kuriakose for any questions.  

Prayer Group Meeting

A combined prayer meeting will be hosted by Mr. Thomas Abraham (Sonu) and Mrs. Rachel Thomas today Sunday June 9th at 5pm at Evanswood Church. Requesting your prayerful participation. 

Senior Citizens Fellowship

The Monthly Prayer meeting of Mar Thoma Senior Citizens Fellowship Diocese of North America will be held via Zoon, Monday, June 10th at 8pm. Prayer meeting Hosted by South East Region Center A. Message will be provided by Rt Rev Dr Euyakim Mar Coorilos Suffragan Metropolitan. Requesting the prayerful attendance of all senior citizens.  

Bible Study

A bible study will be organized at church on Wednesday June 12th at 7pm. Mr. Thomas Kovoor will lead the study. Requesting your prayerful participation.  

Youth Meeting

A Youth Meeting will be organized via Webex, Friday June 14th at 7pm. Requesting the prayerful participation of all youth group members. 

Yuvajana Sakhyam

A Yuvajana Sakhyam prayer meeting will be hosted by Mr. Laiju Thomas and Mrs. Jaya Mathew, Saturday June 15th at 4pm at their residence at 49204 East woods dr. Shelby township. Requesting the prayerful participation of all yuvajana sakhyam members.  

Sunday School

Sunday School Memory Verse Recital details will be sent to all parents and will be posted in the fellowship hall. Deadline for the Recital will be Sunday June 30, 2024. All children from preschool to grade 9 are requested to participate. For more information please contact Mrs. Siby Binu. 

The Junior Camp 2024 will be held at Chicago Mar Thoma Church Friday July 19th to Sunday 21st  and is open to students who have completed 3rd to 10th grade. The main speaker will be Dr. Sherin Thomas Kochamma. Registration fee is $40/child. Registration deadline is June 30, 2024. Please keep the camp in your prayers and encourage the students to attend. 

The VBS will be held on the following days: Wednesday June 19th, 5:30 PM to 8:30 pm, Thursday (20th) & Friday (21) 6 PM to 8:30 PM, Saturday June 22nd, 10 am to 1 pm. The theme for VBS is "Babylon Daniel's Courage in Captivity". Registration fee is $25 per child. A registration link has been sent to all parents. Please encourage all children to attend and invite friends and family. If you have any questions, please contact VBS convenor Mrs. Smitha John, or for questions regarding registrations contact Sunday School Secretary Shine Eapen. Please continue to uphold VBS in your prayers.

Picnic

The church picnic for this year will be held at Thelma Spencer Park, 3701 John R Road, Rochester Hills on July 13th from 10am. Please contact conveners, Mr P J Abraham or Mrs Jyothi Varghese for any questions. 

Cultural Fest

St. John's Mar Thoma Church Cultural Fest is planned for Saturday August 24, 2024. Please sign up using the form for participants of all ages including adults. If you have any questions, please contact conveners Sibin Mathew or Shine Eapen.

New Membership

Membership of Sachit Monsi Philip has been approved. St Johns Mar Thoma Church welcomes Sachit and Soonu Thomas as a family to our parish. 

Neighborhood Mission

The Neighborhood Mission ministry of the Mar Thoma Mission Board of the Diocese of North America serves to enhance the Mar Thoma Church’s local mission presence. This year, in conjunction with the Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference, the Urban Missions trip will be held in Toronto, Canada, from Sunday, July 28th to Thursday, August 1st, 2024. This is open to Mar Thoma Church members (18 years and above). For more details, please refer to the enclosed flyer.
