General Body Notice
The General Body Meeting will be held on Sunday June 2, 2024 at 1030am after the Holy Communion service. The agenda for the general body is as follows:
Supplemental Budget Approval for 2024 per Kalpana DC//232/2024
Sub committee updates
Any other matter with the permission of the chair.
The meeting will be presided by our President/Vicar Rev Jeswin S John. Requesting the participation of all General Body members for the meeting.
Acknowledgement
Thank you Rev Jeswin John achen for celebrating today’s communion service and for the inspiring message. Thank you, lay leaders, choir, and media committee for assisting with today’s service. Sunday School will have a common session during the General Body meeting.
Worship Service
Holy Communion Service in Malayalam will be held next Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Sunday school will start at 10:30am.
MTVEA
The Monthly Prayer meeting of Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists Association Diocese of North America will be held via Zoon, Monday, June 3rd at 830pm. Prayer meeting Hosted by Silicon Valley MTC-Edavaka mission. Requesting your prayerful participation.
Bible Study
A bible study will be organized online via Webex, Thursday June 6th at 7pm. Jeswin John Achen will lead the study. Requesting your prayerful participation.
Fasting Prayer
A fasting prayer will be organized online via Webex, Friday June 7th at 10am. Requesting your prayerful participation.
Youth Meeting
A Youth Meeting will be organized at church, Friday June 7th at 7pm. Requesting your prayerful participation.
Choir
A Choir voice test will be held on Sunday June 9th at 11am . Those who are interested in auditioning, please contact Mrs. Saumya Kuriakose by Sunday June 2nd.
Prayer Group Meeting
A combined prayer meeting will be hosted by Mr. Thomas Abraham (Sonu) and Mrs. Rachel Thomas on Sunday June 9th at 5pm at Evanswood Church. Requesting your prayerful participation.
Sunday School
The VBS will be held on the following days: Wednesday June 19th, 5:30 PM to 8:30 pm, Thursday (20th) & Friday (21) 6 PM to 8:30 PM, Saturday June 22nd, 10 am to 1 pm. The theme for VBS is "Babylon Daniel's Courage in Captivity". Registration fee is $25 per child. A registration link has been sent to all parents. Please encourage all children to attend and invite friends and family. If you have any questions, please contact VBS convenor Mrs. Smitha John, or for questions regarding registrations contact Sunday School Secretary Shine Eapen. Please continue to uphold VBS in your prayers.
Sunday School Memory Verse Recital details will be sent to all parents and will be posted in the fellowship hall. Deadline for the Recital will be Sunday June 30, 2024. All children from preschool to grade 9 are requested to participate. For more information please contact Mrs. Siby Binu.
The Junior Camp 2024 will be held at Chicago Mar Thoma Church Friday July 19th to Sunday 21st and is open to students who have completed 3rd to 10th grade. The main speaker will be Dr. Sherin Thomas Kochamma. Registration fee is $40/child. Registration deadline is June 30, 2024. Please keep the camp in your prayers and encourage the students to attend.
Picnic
The church picnic for this year will be held at Thelma Spencer Park, 3701 John R Road, Rochester Hills on July 13th from 10am. Please contact conveners, Mr P J Abraham or Mrs Jyothi Varghese for any questions.
Cultural Fest
St. John's Mar Thoma Church Cultural Fest is planned for Saturday August 24, 2024. Please sign up using the form for participants of all ages including adults. If you have any questions, please contact conveners Sibin Mathew or Shine Eapen.
Musical Nite
Detroit Mar Thoma Church Choir invites all the members of St Johns Mar Thoma Church for a musical program by Binoy Chacko at DMTC on Sunday June 2nd, 2024. Admission is free.
